The American Capital agent HIMSELF came out to our house to talk about the loan process and get us started, literally the day after I first called. He NEVER misrepresented a thing. Document requirements got heavy, but that was not his fault. The staff was always available and the processor never gave me a dissembling answer to any of my questions. The loan was funded by the target day.

They are direct lenders. There were no fees up front. We did have to pay a fee to our own bank but this was refunded by American Capital when we closed. We borrowed 300K. The cost of the loan was 300K. Boom. No surprises.

I would absolutely recommend American Capital to anyone who only wants to work with a straight shooter and a competent company.

Late last year, the professionals at American Capital managed the refinance of my principle residence.  In the initial discussion, the agent clearly explained the pros and cons of the refi relative to how to handle the 1st and 2nd and his recommendation in how to get both the lowest rates and lowest total interest paid for both mortgages.

The approval process was easier and quicker than any of the previous five loans/refis I have completed since we bought our first home 15 years ago.  Brett’s team kept us regularly and frequently updated on the the status.
The escrow process was even easier than the approval process, even though we had to initiate a Power of Attorney to be sure we would close on time.  In both cases of the POA and the final closing papers, American Capital sent out one of their representatives to our home at a time of our convenience to sign the documents.

I cannot recommend American Capital any more highly and Brett and his team will certainly be getting my business in the future, as well as, as many referrals as I can give.
